Our History

Mahaneh-Dan Fellowship is a ministry started by a few men of God with a vision to reach out with the love of Jesus to the unreached in India. The ministry started with a Training Centre for young men. This training center began in the month of September of 1989 in a rented facility in Mumbai (which was then, Bombay) with five students. Mahaneh-Dan Fellowship was later registered as a charitable organization under the Mumbai Public Trust Act in 1991. It had five mission centres – three of them in the state of Maharashtra and two of them in the state of Gujarat. There were five full time ministers taking care of these centres and a few other servants of God, who were beginning to pioneer His work in the interior parts of Maharashtra and Gujarat.

From these humble beginnings, God has made us grow into one of the leading Christian organizations in India. For the last 21 years, we are serving as an organization committed to demonstrate the love of Jesus with the power of the Holy Spirit. By the grace of God, it has now spread into 15 states throughout India. In the recent past, God also helped us to start His work in Nepal, the neighboring country of India. We now have more than 450 mission centres and fellowship groups, with more than 350 ministers serving Lord in different parts of the country. Most of the churches were pioneered by the students, who had graduated from our Theological Centre.
